The territory for the shopping mall is located in Istanbul’s part, which calls Merter. This is one of the busiest and crowded areas, also it’s a center of textile shops in Istanbul. Big and a bit chaotic stream of people has created the need to build a shopping mall, that will attract attention, but at the same time will not overload the external environment.
Because of uneven land, each building block descends down by the steps principl. The shopping mall has two dawn floors, which are intended as stores for shopping; the ground floor and two upper floors – for retail space; the top floor – is used as an office for shops. Retail space is organized vertically, therefore every store directly takes all floors and has free access to all its premises, from the warehouse to the office.
In the exterior design of the building, we have complied with minimalism, as opposed to the workload of the surrounding area. The main façade materials – natural stone of neutral shade, wood and glass. We also vertically divided every store from the outside: used metal mesh, which bent downwards and makes a stylish minimalistic façade. Between these meshes there are wooden and glass inserts, which located at an angle to each other, thus added some dynamics to this shopping mall.
