Sandima Village is founded on South piedmont of Partinapas Rock which is an old settlement of Yalıkavak. This site was a Turkmen village where is made animal breeding and olive cultivation in the past. 40 years ago Sandima was a living environment. The village is constituted from two neighbours that are seperated by a very rigid and narrow valley. It is foresaken and seems like a ruin. Fabulous morphological values are still alive characteristically. The flora which is formed by cultivars has been conserved and it is enhanced by help of the foresaken village. The gardens and courtyards that are surrounded by short masonry walls, construction groups that are not blocking each others view, pedestrian ways that have width only for human and animals are the main items of tissue of the village. The structure of buildings which are constructed with masonry and traditional methods can be understood easily. The main goal of the Project is to restore the buildings and gain into tourism without changing their original location.
