Everyone wants a home that can offer the basic comforts in life, but some like to go above and beyond what's needed and spill over into high-class and luxurious designs.
Anyone with a fine sense of design is going to love this next home on homify 360. The experts of the Italian architectural firm Mob Architects are the ones we have to thank for this project. The apartment, which was built in the '50s, takes on new life with modern furnishings and extravagant accessories.
Curious yet? Then get ready to start the tour of this charismatic home!
Here we are in the middle of the spacious apartment. The room is bright and divided into three different zones–the living area, the dining room, and the entertainment area. Every minute detail is coordinated so that a well-maintained, very friendly atmosphere is established. It is easy to forget that what we see today is the result of lengthy and costly conversion measures. A total of RM165,000 were invested in the interior and restructuring of the apartment. It was particularly important for the buyers to reorganize the central space of the apartment. A kitchen and walk-in wardrobe are also now next to the dining room and various seating areas.
And have you noticed that this space has no windows, yet is fully lit? This is thanks to the numerous and well-places light sources.
The apartment has the special feature of multifunctional spaces, and the first we'll look at is the living space. Here, the residents can retreat and make lively conversations or simply to enjoy the company of friends and family. The furnishings we see here are very traditional. Two comfortable sofas sit across from each other over an oriental rug, and the dark wooden hutch gives this room a timeless character.
Separating the two social areas of the space is the dining hall. The dining area is very modern and tastefully designed with its table made of fine glass and small, transparent chairs. This area is an eye-catcher for sure, but the transparent nature of the furniture gives an easier transition between each space.
To the left, we have an ultra-modern fireplace. It is integrated into the wall and encased in glass for safety as well as style. As we can see, modernity and comfort go hand-in-hand here.
In this picture, we can see even more clearly how the arrangement of the furniture defines the different functional areas of the room. On one side of the room is the kitchen, where you can work and cook undisturbed. To add an even more sophisticated touch, we have a built-in wine rack in the wall. This certainly comes in handy when entertaining large parties. On the other side of the room, the areas in which social life takes place are arranged rather centrally.
In this image, we see that the kitchen has a special feature that allows it to be closed off from the rest of the home, yet without total exclusion. The doors have slits in them for more breathability.
Now we turn to the second living area. It is not simply a replica of the other living area, however, but has more to offer. The home cinema has a TV set with a large screen where films can be watched or video game can be played. Light grey sofas with cushions provide more than enough comfort.
Here, we have a very simply outfitted bedroom. Just like in the kitchen, we see a mustard yellow colour used as an accent wall. Yellow is an energizing colour, which is handy when waking up in the morning. The ceiling and the niche above the bed both have LED lights that give off pleasant and indirect light.
Last up, we have the bathroom, and we can see that every centimetre of this space was used perfectly. Warm colours and many small light sources can be found here that create a distinct cosiness. In addition, clear lines dominate the room–both the washbasin and the shower are puristically designed with sharp edges. Just like in the main areas of the apartment, we find modernity and style that are simply indispensable.
