Traditionally people in Asian homes are used to sitting at low heights or even on the floor . These days this tradition is becoming popular again due to the shrinking size of floor space in cities and towns. To maintain co-ordination between different rooms without spending a fortune on furniture homeowners are now using multipurpose benches for various needs like sitting, dining tables, storing objects, decoration ledge or simply as a movable piece of furniture.
